"I Love Your Blog" Award!

Hi everyone! Guess what? I was nominated for the "I love Your Blog" award by Sayoko! Now that I was nominated, I have to answer some questions!

Thank the person who nominated you:
Thank you so much, Sayoko!!! :D

Tell your followers why you started a blog and why you keep doing it:
I started a blog because I was inspired by so many other blogs! Also, I thought it would be something really fun to do, because I like writing and taking pictures. I still think it's really fun, which is why I keep doing it!

Describe a usual day in your life:
I wake up around 6:30am, wash my face, and get dressed for school. I brush my hair and put it into whatever style I'm going to wear it in that day. Then, I eat breakfast (usually some cereal or a yogurt) and help my brother make his breakfast. Once I'm done eating my breakfast, I feed my dogs. After that, I brush my teeth and pack my backpack with whatever I'll need for that day. Then, around 7:30am, Skye drives me to school. School starts at 8:00, and ends at 2:30. When school is over, I go to soccer practice for two hours. Around 4:30, Skye picks me up from soccer practice, and I go home and do my homework and help my brother with his. Sometime between 5:00pm and 8:00pm we have dinner; we don't have a specific dinner time. After dinner I finish the rest of my homework if I had any left, then I play with my toys or read a book until I have to go to bed, around 10:00pm.

What was your best collaboration?
My best collaboration was definitely the triple birthday party I had with Saoirse and Jess, also featuring Charlotte & Zoe!

What was your worst collaboration?
I've never had a bad collaboration, and I couldn't imagine having one! :)

Peacock Beach!

Hi everyone! Today, I got to go to Peacock Beach! It's not a sandy ocean beach, though. It's on a pond, and it's really quiet and calm.
When we first got there, I decided I would lay out my towel and lie down.
I brought Kerry with me, too!

I also brought my umbrella, even though it was pretty late in the day and I probably wasn't going to get sunburned.

I decided to take a nap before I went swimming, because I was feeling kind of tired, and everything was so calm and relaxing.

When I was done taking a nap, I went swimming. Then I sat on the rocks and ate dinner while watching the sunset. :)

I'm kind of sad summer is coming to an end. How's your summer been? Have you been swimming at all? Have you gone to the beach?

A Surprise Package!

Hey everyone! You'll never guess what happened today...I got a package in the mail!
I was out on the porch enjoying the nice weather when the mail came.

I waved at the mailman as he walked over and handed me a ginormous package.
"There you go! I wonder what it could be!" He said to me with a large smile on his face. "Hopefully something exciting!" He said as he walked back to his mail truck. Our mailman is super-duper nice.

It looked like the package was addressed to me! I asked Skye if she had been expecting a package.
"OOH, yay! It's here! Dani, that's for you. You can open it," She told me.

I looked at who it was from. The address said New York! It was a package from my mom!

I opened it up to see the box was chock full of tissue paper. "It must be a present!" I thought excitedly.

I tore off the rich purple tissue paper, which revealed more tissue paper; this time a light, minty green color. "Mom packed it with my two favorite colors," I sighed. "She still knows me so well."

I pulled away more of the purple tissue paper and saw the card.

On the front, it said "Happy Birthday", also in purple and green. I read the card thoroughly.

Once I was done reading the card, I pulled the huge green package out.

Mom tied it with a pretty bow! It was so cute, I almost didn't want to open it!

I pulled the ribbon off...

...And tore off the green paper.

I saw the top of the package...I wonder what it could be?

HOLY GUACAMOLE! IT WAS AN AMERICAN GIRL DOLL!

I gently took the top of the box off. "Oh. My. GOSH she is so cute!" I exclaimed.

I hugged her to me. Mom picked out a perfect present for me!

Here's a close-up. This photo of her is pretty cute, but she is even cuter in person!

Now, all I have to do is think of a name for her...she looks like a
Kerry to me, but what do you guys think? What names do you think suit her? I love her so much! Do you guys have any American Girl dolls? What do they look like? What are their names?

Stephanie Gets a Dog!

Hey everyone! A few days ago, my friend Stephanie and I went to the local Humane Society. We were looking for a new dog for Stephanie! A couple months ago, Stephanie's teacup yorkie Sparkles passed away. She was 10 years old, and had lived a good, long life. Stephanie missed having a dog, so she decided that maybe getting a new one wouldn't be such a bad idea.
"Hey, here're the dogs!" I exclaimed to Stephanie as I gestured to their cage.

"What're we waiting for? Let's check them out!" Stephanie smiled.

The dogs jumped and barked and sniffed wildly when we stopped in front of their cage.

"Which one should I look at first?" She asked me.

"I dunno...how about that little one in the corner?" I suggested.

Stephanie asked the shelter employee if she could take it out and look at it. The employee gladly took the puppy out and put it into her arms.
"I'm not sure about this one...it is awfully cute..." Stephanie said.
"Well, it's really little," I said.
"And pretty yappy!" Stephanie said as the little dog nearly barked its head off. Stephanie put the dog back into the cage, and requested the slightly larger dog with the pink bows.

                                                        "She's pretty cute," I stated.
Stephanie just stared at the dog.

"She reminds me too much of Sparkles," She said quietly. The dog did look a lot like Sparkles. Stephanie put the dog back and took out another doggie.

                                                   This one was really fluffy.
"I like her," Stephanie said. "But she reminds me a little of Sparkles, too. Maybe we           should look at  another," she said.

This one was a beagle. It jumped up at Stephanie and I and barked excitedly.
"You have to be careful to always keep those on a leash," the Humane Society employee informed us. "If you don't, they'll run off if something catches their eye."
"I don't think I'll risk it. Plus, I think I'm looking for a more "lethargic" dog, so to say." Stephanie said. They put the beagle back, and pulled another one out.

This one was an adorable bulldog. He was super-duper friendly, and licked Stephanie's face gently as she held him in her lap.

Stephanie giggled and tried to pull away from it, to no avail.

She got up and plopped him on the ground.
"Aww, you're so cute," Stephanie said as she pet him on the head. I could tell that this was the dog for her.
"I think that's the right dog for you, Steph," I told her. She looked up and smiled at me.
"Yeah, I think so too."
"We can provide you with a collar if you come up with a name right now," the employee told us.
"Hmm..." Stephanie thought. "He looks kind of like a Meatloaf to me." She said, beaming. "Yeah, I'll name him Meatloaf!" She told us.
"Okily-doke! I'll be back with the collar in a moment!" The employee told us as he left the dog room.

He came back with a blue collar with Meatloaf's name on it. Stephanie reached out to put the collar on Meatloaf.

I can tell Stephanie and Meatloaf are going to be best buddies. I'm so glad Stephanie was able to get a new pet! I think having a new dog around will help ease the pain of losing Sparkles, even though Sparkles will never be replaced. Sparkles will keep a special place in Stephanie's heart. Have you ever lost a pet? Did you end up getting a new one? When I lived in NYC, I had a pet hamster, but it passed away a few weeks after I got it.
