Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, guys! I hope your day has been going well. My day has been pretty good so far.

For breakfast, we had special pistachio shamrock waffles. The waffles were a light green color, and really yummy!

While I was finishing up my breakfast, I spotted this little trail of green and gold sparklies leading out the door. I put on some shoes and a jacket and decided to follow it.

When I walked outside, I saw more sparklies.

They led across the porch...

...And down onto the next step.

I followed the little trail down the steps. The sparklies seemed to lead into the bushes.

The little trail of sparklies led down onto the last step.

As I followed the trail, I spot a small black object amongst the green and gold.

As I got closer, the object became clearer.

HOLY. GUACAMOLE.

"KNICKERS AND NACHOS! IT'S A LEPRECHAUN SHOE!" I exclaimed.

The little shoe sat in a pile of green glitter and gold coins.

At first, (though I wanted to) I didn't really believe a Leprechaun had left it's little boot behind, especially since all of the glitter and gold and sparklies were a little too clichéd. But when I asked Skye and the other girls at the Midcoast MTTB about it, none of them knew what I was talking about. Granted, they could have been lying, but when you're friends with a bunch of time travelers, anything's possible, right?
How was your St. Patrick's Day? Were you visited by any little Irish creatures?
This has been Dani, dabbling in leprechaun hunts on St. Patrick's Day. Over and out!

  1. Salut, Dani!
Sadly, we don't really celebrate St. Patrick's Day in France. :(
My American friend Lilly does, and she emailed me some photos. Her parents put green food coloring in the pancake batter and made green pancakes. Your waffle looks better, though, but then again, being from Northern France, I tend to prefer waffles. :P

How cool that you found a Leprechaun boot! It's a pretty stylish boot, too.

    Bisous,
    Sabine

  2. Hi Sabine!

St. Patrick's Day seems to be a very big deal in the U.S., at least in Maine. It's probably because of all the Irish ancestry, though. :) I have to agree, green waffles are definitely better than green pancakes, though they are pretty close.
The little leprechaun boot is very stylish! Maybe I was visited by a leprechaun supermodel! ;)
