We had a great time; we watched a movie called Thomas and the Magic Railroad, which made little to no sense and was pretty funny. It wasn't supposed to be like that, though. Saoirse's friends Kaya and Josefina also watched the movie and slept over too. I think we all had fun!
Sunday, of course, was Father's Day! I celebrated with my mom's friend (Skye) and her dad. After Saoirse, Kaya, and Josefina went home, we went to Winslow Park where some of Skye's family was camping for the weekend. It was right by the ocean, but was WAY to cold to swim, even though it's the middle of June!

The green down by the water is all seaweed. I've always thought seaweed was pretty nasty, but my little brother loves to walk in it and throw it at me!
I went with Skye and her cousins to play on the playground. There was an awesome pirate ship to play on.

There was a fireman's pole that went from the top deck to the bottom. There were ladders and a slide too.

I decided to go scout out the top deck.

When we went back to the campsite, we roasted hot dogs over the fire. After that, we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores! I didn't take any pictures then because I was busy eating, and my fingers were really sticky.
After our long day, Skye and I finally went back to the base and got ready for bed. All that fresh air and playground playing had made us really tired!

That looks like a lot of fun! I love playing on those big ships at playgrounds and pretending that I'm the captain of a ship. Once Zoe and I pretended that the ship had hit an iceberg and was going down, and another time that it had been attacked by pirates and we had to fend them off!
ReplyDeleteAs for what I'm doing this summer, my family has a summer house near a big lake that we spend the whole summer at, swimming and hiking and going for bike rides! What would you think about coming up sometime this year? I'm thinking about getting a Facebook page myself sometimes soon, maybe we could organize it that way! :)
